(this one was just for fun)  Tuesday, December 1st, 2009 Last week I had a chance to do a photoshoot as part of the MuchMusic show "My Date with a Rockstar" Often times when I shoot TV personalities they say it is so awkward to have their photograph taken yet being on TV is no big deal. Well let me tell you, going from taking photographs to being on TV is a whole other story. Lets just say I told Tim Deegan I might throw up on him in between takes. I will post my acting skills when the show airs.  Thursday, November 26th, 2009 Hannah Georgas, Chit Chat, EP Artwork by the talented Aidan Knight  Wednesday, November 18th, 2009 So this post is probably about 8 months too late but these websites are brand new, so I think that rounds this out somehow. I met Sam in Vancouver during the Junos when my perfectly persistent and lovely friend Michaela asked me to shoot photos for this up and coming singer/songwriter. Like most projects that I consider working on, I asked about Sam's background who's current claim to fame was having a song on the "Twilight" soundtrack. I'm pretty sure I had to be reminded what that was ... I must not have been living on planet earth at the time. After hearing his beautiful songs and noting that the only photos on his myspace were from a wedding and a pencil drawing or two, we made a plan. The next day Sam, Michaela, Andrea and I packed into Sam's car drove anywhere and everywhere, taking photos all along the way. The many times I thought about writing this post, I always assumed I would be fully able to spill my guts about Sam and properly tell the world how wonderful he is but when I try I always manage to fumble over all my words. Sam is a charismatic and unique soul who will always have you laughing and is not afraid to get an impromptu sing along happening at a party where you would least expect it. He often seems like he is not afraid of anything, which I am sure is not the case but he seems to pull off everything which such ease and grace that I am always in awe. He would probably laugh if he saw that I alluded to him being graceful. I can think of many endearing and completely un-graceful moments we have shared. I am sure I could find many more things to say however inarticulately but I will leave it at saying that he is a beyond talented man who I am so happy to have met and now call a friend. On a interesting side note, "Noot Seear" went to my elementary school in Grade 6. I remember the "mean girls" being mean as she wore flannel (this was the era of Nirvana after all) and everyone else wore Adidas track suits (myself included) She seemed to be the quintessential tom boy and I remember a couple of occasions at her house watching her play drums. I don't claim to know her and I am sure she would not remember me but I point this all out as it is the most amazing story of ultimate revenge. She seemed to be at the bottom of the girl hierarchy chain at that point and is now by far at the top. The tables most definitely have turned.
