I was just filling out a short question and answer email, as I am being featured as a contributor in a commemorative issue for Canada's Walk of Fame. A few of the questions surrounded the importance of being Canadian and I always have to think of Will Ferguson for any reference as he is the king of Canadian sterotype. I have been reading his book "Why I Hate Canadians" and came across this quote which seemed pretty perfect for me and wanted to share. I thought it was pretty funny...

Typical Canadian Career Path:
1.) Hating Toronto
2.) Moving to Toronto
3.) Wishing you could move to Vancouver
4.) Staying in Toronto
5.) Hating Vancouver

These are two very funny Canadians.

Long time, no update.

Yesterday I spent the day in Muskoka for part one of a feature portrait series I am currently working on for Precedent Magazine. I think that is all I can say at the moment but I had a really wonderful day on our subjects private island, which we had to take a fun and bumpy boat ride to get to. It was a really great way to spend the day and I am very excited for the portraits to follow.

Last week I had the chance to shoot a piece for Toronto Life Magazine as well as a portrait session with Peter Soumalias, who is the founder of Canada's Walk of Fame. The event is right around the corner and they are putting out their magazine for their 10 year anniversary, so I was lucky enough to be able to take his photo for it.

Today there were wonderful talks of me taking off to LA for the weekend to get started on a little project so I will hopefully be posting more good things soon. Too many exciting ones to let out of the bag just yet.

I am about to head out the door to go and shoot photos at the taping of Dallas' Bravo special. Seeing as his new video premiers today at 5pm, I thought this might be a fitting post.

Click HERE for the Sleeping Sickness E-Card, where you can find my behind the scenes photos from the set as well as watch the video when the countdown is finally up.

I spent the night of the MMVA's at the famous Revolver after party. I am the furthest thing from paparazzi (and not that good at it) but I couldn't help but snap these photos of Whitney Port and Brody Jenner as they kindly asked to avoid the red carpet. They were nice enough to smile for me as they made their entrance and I have to admit that the Hills is definitely my guilty pleasure. During this moment I felt a little bit like I was on TMZ. Harvey Levin would be proud. :)

Last weekend Jess and I had the chance to photograph several events for the MMVA's. This was our second year doing Rockstar Hotel and as always, we had a really great time. For everyone who doesn't know, the event is a pre-MMVA party which is held at the Gladstone Hotel the day before the awards. They take over the entire hotel to drink, dance and give away a ton of free swag.

Here are some oh my favorites from the night, including Joey McIntyre (I most definitely attended the Hanging Tough tour about 12 years ago!) the lovely Playboy Playmates of 2008, Simple Plan and my favorite, Rainn Wilson.

I had a big blog post to do for today but I am going to save it and direct you all to Jess' website as the new splash page image is just TOO good. :)
