Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I am getting re-settled here in Toronto, happy to be back and looking forward to the new year.

I have been lucky enough to be able to photograph Dallas throughout the process of his new album from the making of, music videos, appearances and what is even better is seeing the different ways these photos are being used. This past December, a limited edition of 'Bring Me Your Love' was released with special packaging that included my studio images from the time I spent at Catherine North. Only 6,000 copies were released so I hope you got yours. :)

I had a chance to photograph Silverstien this September for Alternative Press and their year end "Most Anticipated" issue. The first photo below was featured in the magazine and the second one is just gosh darn cute (just what five guys in a band want to hear right...?)

Last month I had a chance to head to the filming of "The Girl" the newest single off of the City + Colour album, Bring Me Your Love.

The video was filmed in the very same place as the Alexisonfire video for Pulmonary Archery, which is the most gorgeous old mansion that has been kept around, although completely empty. The audio in the video was recorded live for the first part of the song which is amazing and shows how incredible Dallas' voice really is. My shooting was cut a little bit short when I was called on to be an extra for three different scenes. I was told it was an all boy video, but I guess I was wrong. These are some stills from the day and you can watch the video below.

Last month I had the chance to photograph Richard Florida for the January issue of Toronto Life. They had sent me up to Markham to meet Richard at a convention he was speaking at. I have come to learn that in editorial, nothing is ever how they say it is, so you just have to make it up as you go. When I arrived, there was complete chaos, hundreds of people everywhere and no one knew who I was looking for. Pretty typical. There was a huge line up of people waiting and at the end of it was Richard, signing autographs. I patiently waited till the line dwindled down and he finished up a radio interview for CBC. Richard gives off a professional yet laid back vibe and I watched him introduce himself to multiple people in quite a typical manner, yet when he made his way to me he extended his hand and said "What up?! Rich..." I was totally caught off guard but then laughed and shook his hand. I guess I just give off that cool vibe too.... ;)

Starbucks has recently put out a compilation cd, featuring City and Colour. Along with my photo of Dallas making up part of the cover, there is also the same photo inside the CD booklet. There are a couple odd mistakes and spelling errors (coulour?), including someone named Ben Goetting getting credit for my photo. C'est la vive. Way to go Starbucks! Anyhow..here it is.
